Juliet Foster

Juliet Foster, North East ProofreadingI am a proofreader and copy-editor specialising in business documentation and academic publications in the fields of science, technology and mathematics.

Having achieved a PhD in Theoretical Atomic and Molecular Physics at Newcastle University, followed by fifteen years in the IT industry, I have a thorough knowledge of scientific and technological communications challenges, with an appreciation of the importance of adhering to timelines and providing excellent customer service.

IMG_4745I was born in the South of England, grew up in the Midlands and I now live in the North East. I am lucky enough to have made my home in the beautiful seaside village of Tynemouth where I live with my husband, daughter and two cats. I have regularly volunteered in my daughter’s school, often helping children with reading, which has given me a new appreciation of the complexities and richness of the language. I’ve been amazed and delighted with the children’s increasing proficiency in the mechanics of reading and their ever-improving comprehension, as well as their enthusiasm for books.
